On 16 October 2025, Ambassador Chittipat Tongprasroeth paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Florian Hahn, Minister of State for Asia-Pacific at the Federal Foreign Office. Both sides emphasized the long-standing cordial relations between Thailand and Germany, which have spanned for more than 163 years, and reaffirmed their intention to strengthening partnership between the two countries in the areas of politics, security, economy and trade, climate change, green energy transition, and people-to-people exchanges. The two sides also discussed the Thai–Cambodian border situation and recent developments.

Minister of State Hahn expressed his appreciation for the good progress made in the negotiations on the Thailand–EU Free Trade Agreement (FTA) and reaffirmed that Germany supports Thailand’s accession to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
