On Saturday, March 15, 2025, H.E. Mr. Chittipat Tongprasroeth, Ambassador of Thailand to Germany, and his spouse, together with embassy officials, met with Mr. Narongpol Kaewjangwat, President of the Thai Studentenverein in Deutschland e.V. (TSVD), and 11 newly elected members of the TSVD Executive Committee. The committee was elected on January 28, 2025.

On this occasion, Ambassador Chittipat emphasized the importance of the association in strengthening the network of Thai students abroad and its role as a representative of Thailand in Germany. The discussion also covered the activities of the association, with the Embassy expressing its readiness to support various activities such as TSVD Treffpunkt & Annual Meeting, sports, and cultural activities. In addition, the ambassador shared experiences and advice with the TSVD representatives in various aspects, especially in applying Germany's best practices to benefit the country in different contexts.

Currently, there are over 1,100 Thai students studying in Germany, making it the second-largest number of Thai students in Europe, after the United Kingdom. The TSVD has played an important role in strengthening the network of Thai students in Germany, including in fostering cooperation between the government agencies and the association.
