On 7 August 2025, Ambassador Chittipat Tongprasroeth met with H.E. Ms. Mitsuko Shino, Ambassador of Japan to Germany (in Japan’s capacity as President of the Mine Ban Convention for 2025) and H.E. Mr. Sang Beom Lim, Ambassador of Republic of Korea to Germany. He provided updated information on the Thailand–Cambodia border situation, in particular Cambodia’s use of anti-personnel mines in Thai territory. He shared that the Thai Ambassador in Geneva has been closely coordinating with her Japanese counterpart on this matter.

The Ambassador stressed that Thailand remains committed to complying with the ceasefire agreement and the outcomes of the most recent General Border Committee (GBC) meeting held in Kuala Lumpur.
