On 17 October 2025, H.E. Mr. Chittipat Tongprasroeth, Ambassador of Thailand, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Gökhan Turan, Ambassador of Turkey to Berlin. Both sides appreciated the longstanding and close bilateral ties between Thailand and Turkey, which have spanned for over 67 years. They had a fruitful exchange on the geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and Europe.

On this occasion, the Ambassador expressed his appreciation to the Government of Turkey for support in facilitating the evacuation of Thai nationals from Iran, during which Thailand established a temporary shelter in the city of Van, Turkey, as well as for the assistance extended to Thai citizens in Turkey. In addition, the Ambassador provided factual information and updates on the Thai-Cambodian border conflict to the Turkish Ambassador.
