On the occasion of Christopher Street Day Berlin 2026, I am delighted to join you in celebrating diversity, dignity, and equality.

This year's motto, "Taking a Stand Is Hot," is a timely reminder that building an open society requires all of us to stand up for human values, human dignity and human rights, including the rights of LGBTQIA+ people. Progress is only possible when we embrace our differences with respect and solidarity.

Thailand is proud to be part of this global movement. Last year, Thailand became the first country in Southeast Asia and the third in Asia to legalize same-sex marriage, marking a historic milestone in promoting and protecting human rights for all. We remain committed to ensuring that everyone can live with equal rights, equal opportunities, and respect.

Looking ahead, Thailand is honoured to have submitted its bid to host WorldPride 2030 in Bangkok. We look forward to welcoming the world to celebrate love, diversity, and equality in the heart of Thailand, while showcasing our country's vibrant culture, warm hospitality, and unwavering commitment to an inclusive future.
