Thailand will host the Thailand Biennale, Chiang Rai 2023, from 9 December 2023, to 30 April 2024, in Chiang Rai Province in northern Thailand. The Thailand Biennale, Chiang Rai 2023, is under the theme "The Open World" and aims to showcase artists' immense potential and creative abilities in crafting contemporary masterpieces. This event also strives to foster collaboration among stakeholders in managing internationally recognized contemporary art festivals, thereby enhancing global connections in contemporary art and culture.

Featuring the works of 60 prominent Thai and international artists, such as Kader Attia, Maria Theresa Alves, and Tomás Saraceno from Berlin, the event promises a vibrant display of contemporary art. Exhibitions will be hosted across various significant venues in Chiang Rai, including art galleries, exhibition halls, museums, temples, and historic sites.
